Stephen Schlesinger es miembro de la Century Foundation y ex director del World Policy Institute.
Es autor de Act of Creation: The Founding of the United Nations (2004), coautor (con Stephen Kinzer) de Bitter Fruit: The Story of the American Coup in Guatemala (edición ampliada, 1999), y coeditor de Journals 1952-2000 de Arthur Schlesinger, Jr. (2007).
