Alec Ryrie es profesor del Departamento de Teología y Religión de la Universidad de Durham. Ryrie es coeditor de Journal of Ecclesiastical History y entre sus libros figuran Protestants: The Faith that Made the Modern World, Being Protestant in Reformation Britain y The Age of Reformation: The Tudor and Stewart Realms, 1485-1603.
