Steven Simon es investigador principal del Middle East Institute.
De 2011 a 2012, Simon fue director de Asuntos de Oriente Medio y Norte de África en el Consejo de Seguridad Nacional.
Simon ha sido director ejecutivo del Instituto Internacional de Estudios Estratégicos (IISS-US) y director correspondiente del IISS-Medio Oriente. Anteriormente también fue Hasib J.
