Eva Erman es investigadora y becaria pro futuris en el departamento de Ciencias Políticas de la Universidad de Estocolmo. También es redactora jefe de Ethics & Global Politics. Erman enseña y escribe sobre teoría política y filosofía política. Entre sus libros destacan Legitimacy Beyond the State? Re-examining the Democratic Credentials of Transnational Actors (Nueva York: Palgrave Macmillan, 2010) y Human Rights and Democracy: Discourse Theory and Global Rights Institutions (Aldershot: Ashgate Publishing, 2005). Es autora de varios capítulos de libros y artículos revisados por pares, entre ellos "What is Wrong with Agonistic Pluralism? Reflections on Conflict in Democratic Theory"(Philosophy & Social Criticism 35, nº 9, 2009) y "Conflict and Universal Moral Theory: From Reasonableness to Reason-Giving" (Political Theory 35, nº 5, 2007).
